The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of the United Nations have set us on a common course to push back poverty, inequality, hunger and illness. The world has pledged to reduce by half, proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. We have now entered into the International Decade for Action: Water for Life (2005–2015).
Urged by this burning need to enable citizen’s access to quality drinking water, the founders of Earth Water Group have come forward to initiate a citizen’s action for Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation under the umbrella of Neer Foundation, a non for profit Civil Society Organization that would bring in change in the lives of poor children by enabling them to have access to safe drinking water and sanitation at school. Through its unique intervention programs at schools, founders of Neer Foundation wish to repay back to society their experience, knowledge and expertise in the water industry, where they have successfully built their individual careers.
